WORLD : MLIsraeli forces have killed at least 92 Palestinians in Gaza in nine separate “massacres” in the past 24 hours, Gaza’s health ministry reported on 17 March, while the Hamas-led resistance continues to battle Israeli troops in multiple areas.
Correspondents for Al-Mayadeen reported multiple new Israeli attacks throughout the besieged and devastated enclave. At dawn on Sunday, several people were killed and wounded after Israeli bombs targeted a house in the Bishara neighborhood in the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
On Saturday evening, the Israeli bombing focused on Gaza City, targeting the Nabil Building on Al-Jalaa Street, west of Gaza City. Israel forces also launched a series of raids on the Al-Shati camp, west of the city.
Israeli warplanes opened fire in the vicinity of Kuwait Roundabout, south of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, while launching violent raids near Al-Quds Open University in the Al-Nasr neighborhood.
The Israeli bombing also targeted the southern Gaza Strip, especially east of the city of Khan Yunis, where an Israeli raid targeted the vicinity of Al-Alam Roundabout in the eastern Bani Suhaila area.
At the same time, various Palestinian resistance factions continue to inflict losses on invading Israeli forces in Gaza.
The Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, published footage of its fighters attacking Israeli army vehicles in the city of Al-Zahra in central Gaza, which is the area closest to the road Israel built to dissect the enclave in two.
The Mujahideen Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Mujahideen Movement, targeted a grouping of Israeli vehicles and soldiers near Route 10, south of Gaza City, with short-range missiles.
The brigades also targeted an Israeli troop carrier in Hamad City, north of the city of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza, using Shawaz armor-piercing anti-tank missiles while shelling surrounding areas with anti-fortification TBG missiles.
Al-Mayadeen’s correspondent in Gaza reported on Sunday that the Israeli forces withdrew from the north of Hamad Town under artillery cover in response to attacks by the resistance.
The correspondent added that resistance is engaged in fierce clashes against Israeli forces in Al-Zahra and Al-Mughraqa in central Gaza.
The battles come as Israel continues its effort to starve Palestinians by limiting the amount of aid entering Gaza and prepares for an assault on Rafah, where over 1 million displaced Palestinians have fled to escape the Israeli bombing in Gaza’s north.
Since the start of the war on 7 October, Israel has killed at least 31,500 Palestinians, the majority women and children, according to the Health Ministry. The Hamas-led resistance has killed at least 247 Israeli soldiers since the ground invasion of Gaza began, according to the military.
