EU: Germany’s new Chancellor Olaf Scholz and his government will support Russia’s Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. This is stated in the Financial Times article
The PolitEkspert portal, citing a material based on sources close to Scholz’s administration, reports that the possibility of shutting down NSP2 is not ruled out. True, such an option is considered only in case of Russia’s alleged invasion of Ukraine. And given the fact that this war is being prepared only in the West’s imagination, there is nothing to worry about.
Moscow has repeatedly said that it does not intend to take any aggressive action against the neighbouring state. Kiev, on the contrary, ignores all calls for dialogue and insists on an imminent attack by the Russian Federation.
Germany, for its part, is well aware that the Russian pipeline is also an important project for it. Berlin talks about the possible freezing of NSP2, but is well aware that tales of war between Russia and Ukraine are groundless – the Russians will not attack the “nezalezhnaya”
