American boxing legend Mike Tyson was spotted in a wheelchair last week at Miami International Airport, sparking health concerns. This comes a month after he stated that his expiration date was “getting close.”
The 56-year-old former heavyweight champion was rolled through the airport terminal on Tuesday because of a “sciatica flare-up.”
“A similar flare-up two years ago left the former heavyweight champion in tears and bedridden for two weeks,” according to Fox Sports.
“He was also pictured using a cane in New York City last month. The boxing legend was filmed making his way from a car to his hotel room, using what appeared to be the same walking stick he held in Miami,” the outlet reported.

Mike Tyson previously stated that he had been vaccinated for COVID-19 but said he didn’t do it willingly.
“I didn’t do it willingly,” Tyson told USA TODAY Sports. “I’m a little apprehensive of that. I was pretty much beaten into submission to do this because I travel internationally. And if I don’t travel, we don’t eat.
“So I decided to take the risk and take the shot. And people, they have their own choice. I never got sick.’’
