USA: The US counties with the highest vaccination rates against C-19 are facing more cases than those with the lowest vaccination rates.
The 500 counties with 62 to 95% vaccinated people detected more than 75 cases per 100K residents on average.
The 500 counties where 11 to 40 percent of the population has been vaccinated averaged about 58 cases per 100,000 residents.
The CDC has suppressed the data.
The least vaccinated counties tended to be much smaller, averaging less than 20,000 in population. However, the most vaccinated population had an average population of over 330,000. The ones with the highest vaccination rate had higher case rates than those with the least vaccinations.
Among the counties with populations of 1M+, the ten most vaccinated had a case rate more than 27% higher than the least vaccinated.
In counties with populations of 200K to 500K, the highest vaccinated had case rates around 55% higher than the least vaccinated.
It’s a 200% difference for the counties with a population of 100,000 to 200,000.
The prevalence of testing for C-19 infections isn’t uniform.
The latest C-19 wave has been attributed to Omicron virus mutation, which is more transmissible but less virulent.
